Welcome to Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish

Announcements from Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish:

From the Pastor:

Eucharistic Adoration:   The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed on the first Sunday of the month, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.  At 3:00, we will pray the chaplet of Divine Mercy and close with Benediction.  Sign-up sheets will be available at the entrances of the Church this weekend .  It is important that the time slots be filled. Please come and spend some quiet time in prayer before the Eucharistic Presence of Christ our King.

Are You Interested in Becoming a Catholic?

Would you like to receive Holy Communion in the Catholic Church?  Do you desire to be baptized?  Were you baptized a Catholic but not raised in the Catholic Faith?  Are you married to a Catholic and desire to worship fully as a family at Immaculate Heart of Mary?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, the RCIA program is for you.  The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a discernment process with absolutely no pressure!  For more information about RCIA, please call Sister Rosanne at 259-9426.  Now is the time, the RCIA class is now forming!

Vocations

Each baptized Christian is called to follow Christ.  While we all have a common calling, each of us is unique, blessed with particular gifts and talents by the Lord.  Using those gifts according to God's plan, calls for discernment.

Some people in each community are called to serve God through ministry in the Church.  Some become priests, others religious sisters or brothers, and still others serve as a layperson in church ministry.

The scriptures today offer the opportunity to reflect on God's call, the universal call of all the baptized and the particular call given to each Christian. To what work is God calling you?

Prayer for Vocations:

Bountiful God,

You are boundless with your blessings and faithful to your promises.

Through our ancestors in faith, we have come to know and to trust in your guidance

    on our life's journey.

At Jesus' baptism you confirmed him in his mission.  Commission us through our

baptismal graces to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.

Open our hearts to recognize your holy calling.

Bless our church with devoted married couples, holy single men and women, and

dedicated deacons, priests, sisters and brothers.

Guide those who are discerning how best to serve you.

With your favor, we set out to proclaim your reign through Jesus, your beloved Son

in the power of your Holy Spirit.

Amen
